Public weigh in goes to plan

Birmingham’s beloved kickboxing son's all made the weight at the first attempt today in front of a vocal crowd in Brindley Place's prestigious Thai Edge restaurant. Sunny hopes to become unanimous world champion at featherweight with a victory against Gvido Brencis. Many of the press on site were shocked by the massive support for what has been considered such a fringe sport. If this is the kind of following this fighter can generate, then there is a distinct possibility that the sport itself could profit from the increased exposure. The dream of taking kickboxing back to the glory days could indeed turn into a reality!
